Acknowledging the monumental challenges in developing a new domestic industry, NRG put active development of its offshore wind projects on hold as of January 2012. NRG is preserving its offshore wind options that include maintaining development rights and moving forward with a lease for its Mid-Atlantic Wind Park, and continuing to seek development partners and equity investors.

NRG supports offshore wind in the eastern United States, and our Company’s commitment to zero emission, fully sustainable renewable power generation continues unabated.
