David Crane
President and Chief Executive Officer
David Crane has served as President, Chief Executive Officer and on the Board of Directors of NRG since December 2003. Crane leads NRG’s transformation into the nation’s premier energy company positioned for a sustainable energy future—developing new solar, wind, high efficiency gas and other generation sources while growing NRG’s retail, carbon capture and electric vehicle service businesses. Crane has been recognized for exemplary leadership, receiving such awards as Ernst & Young’s 2010 Transformational Achievement award, EnergyBiz’s 2010 CEO of the Year and Institutional Investor’s 2011 top CEO in the electric utility sector. Prior to joining NRG, Crane served as CEO of International Power plc, a U.K.-based wholesale power generation company, from January to November 2003; and as Chief Operating Officer from March 2000 through December 2002. Crane was Senior Vice President, Global Power, New York at Lehman Brothers Inc. from January 1999 to February 2000; and Senior Vice President, Global Power Group, Asia from June 1996 to January 1999. Crane serves on the board of El Paso Corp. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and a JD from Harvard Law School.

Kirkland Andrews
Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer
Kirk Andrews has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since September 2011, managing NRG’s corporate financial functions including Treasury, Accounting, Tax, Risk, Credit Management and Insurance. As head of the finance organization, Andrews plays an instrumental role in formulating capital allocation strategies and helping NRG finance the Company’s renewables and repowering program. Prior to NRG, he served at Citigroup Global Markets, where he was Head of North American Power, and subsequently at Deutsche Bank, where he served as Managing Director and Co-Head of Power and Utilities–Americas. In his 15-year investment banking career, Andrews led multiple large and innovative strategic, debt, equity and commodities transactions, including multiple advisory roles with NRG. Andrews graduated from Wake Forest University with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and received an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.

Michael Bramnick
Executive Vice President, General Counsel
Serving as Executive Vice President and General Counsel since August 2010, Michael Bramnick is responsible for NRG’s legal affairs as well as corporate and regulatory compliance. With NRG’s operations under the jurisdiction of a number of federal and state regulatory bodies, Bramnick oversees the Company’s efforts to ensure constructive outcomes in a swiftly changing regulatory landscape across the country. Under Bramnick’s leadership, NRG’s corporate secretary team won Corporate Secretary Magazine’s award for Corporate Governance Team of 2010 for small-mid cap companies. Since joining NRG in December 2004, he has served in a variety of roles including as Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, in which he was responsible for litigation and dispute resolution, corporate compliance and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining NRG, Bramnick served as Associate General Counsel at Millennium Chemicals Inc., held in-house positions at Lucent Technologies and EnviroSource, and spent six years in private practice at Pepper Hamilton LLP. Bramnick holds a bachelor’s degree from George Washington University and a JD from the Dickinson School of Law of Pennsylvania State University.

Lee Davis
Senior Vice President and Regional President, Northeast
Lee Davis serves as Senior Vice President and Regional President, Northeast, overseeing commercial and operating activities and business development for the six-state region. With about 7,000 megawatts of generating assets in the region, he is responsible for leading efforts to repower the Northeast fleet, reduce emissions from the region’s fossil fueled plants and build new clean energy resources. Davis joined NRG in 2006 as Vice President, New York Development and took on the expanded role of Vice President, Northeast Business Development in January 2010. Prior to his current position at NRG, he took on various roles as a Vice President for Mirant Corp. and as Vice President of Strategic Origination at Calpine Corp. Davis has a bachelor’s degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Tom Doyle
Executive Vice President; President, NRG Solar; and Regional President, West
Tom Doyle leads NRG’s generation portfolio in California and the Company’s solar business as Executive Vice President; Regional President, West; and President, NRG Solar. Doyle was instrumental in building NRG into one of the largest developers of solar in the country and continues to lead the development of the Company’s pipeline of solar projects. He is also responsible for leading efforts to repower the West region’s power plants. Joining NRG in 2009 as President of NRG Solar, Doyle has more than 25 years of development and engineering experience associated with large-scale solar and more conventional power generation projects. As Executive Vice President of Global Development at BrightSource Energy Inc., he led efforts to secure one of the largest series of power purchase agreements in the solar industry and has also held senior management positions with InterGen and Foster Wheeler Energy Corp. He also serves on the Board of the University of Arizona’s Engineering School and the California Foundation on the Environment and the Economy (CFEE). Doyle holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizon.

Jason Few
Executive Vice President; Chief Customer Officer; and President, Reliant Energy
Jason Few serves as NRG’s first Chief Customer Officer, where he leads Companywide sales, marketing and branding. In this role, he coordinates the sale of NRG’s products and services across regions to key customer groups and leads the Company’s mission to provide elite customer service. As President of Reliant Energy, Few is responsible for leading all aspects of Reliant’s business. In his time as President, he has overseen the expansion of the company’s commercial and industrial business outside of Texas, the development of new business lines, and Reliant’s commitment to smart energy, best-in-class customer service and community involvement. Few came to NRG from Motorola Inc. where he held various senior leadership positions. Prior to Motorola, he led SBC Communications’ broadband and business development activities. Few serves on a number of civic and charity board committees in the Houston area. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University and an MBA from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Mauricio Gutierrez
Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer
Mauricio Gutierrez has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since July 2010, overseeing NRG’s Plant Operations, Commercial Operations, Thermal, Environmental Compliance and Engineering, Procurement and Construction divisions. Gutierrez is responsible for ensuring NRG’s roughly 25,000 megawatt fleet operates at top levels of safety, performance and environmental compliance. His role overseeing NRG’s commodities trading helps maximize the Company’s financial performance through increasingly volatile energy commodity markets. Prior to this role, he served at NRG as Executive Vice President, Commercial Operations and as Senior Vice President, Commodities Trading. Prior to NRG, Gutierrez held various positions with Dynegy Inc., including Managing Director for the Southeast and Texas regions and Senior Trader for east power. Gutierrez holds a bachelor’s degree from Universidad Panamericana and two master’s degrees—in mineral economics from the Colorado School of Mines and petroleum economics from the French Petroleum Institute.

Patti Helfer
Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer
Since July 2011, Patti Helfer has led NRG’s Human Resources, Information Technology and Facilities departments as Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer. In this role, she ensures NRG has the right people, processes and technologies in place to support the Company’s business strategies. Helfer also leads efforts to align the Company’s infrastructure to provide the flexibility needed for NRG’s new innovation businesses. She has served at NRG since June 2004 in roles including Vice President, Internal Audit and Internal Controls, and Assistant Controller. Prior to NRG, Helfer was the Director of Corporate Accounting at PSEG Enterprises and served as Controller at NUI Corp. She is a CPA and received a bachelor’s degree from the Rutgers University School of Business.

James Ingoldsby
Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer
Jim Ingoldsby, NRG’s Chief Accounting Officer since March 2008, is responsible for directing NRG’s financial accounting and reporting activities. Ingoldsby leads NRG’s compliance with national accounting guidelines and oversees supply chain management, including for the Company’s clean energy projects and initiatives. Previously at NRG, Ingoldsby served as Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis from August 2006 until March 2008 and as Vice President and Controller from May 2004 to July 2006. Prior to NRG, he held various executive positions at GE Betz from 1993 to 2003, including Controller, Director of Business Analysis and Director of Financial Reporting. He also held various staff and managerial accounting and auditing positions at Mack Trucks Inc. from 1982 to 1993 and began his career with Deloitte and Touche. Ingoldsby, a Certified Public Accountant, holds a bachelor’s degree from Muhlenberg College and an MBA from Lehigh University.

John Ragan
Executive Vice President and Regional President, Gulf Coast
John Ragan serves as Executive Vice President and Regional President, Gulf Coast, where he is responsible for all NRG businesses in Texas and Louisiana. Ragan oversees the Company’s largest regional power generation portfolio; NRG’s relationship with electric cooperatives and municipalities in Louisiana and Arkansas; and Reliant Energy, NRG’s largest retail electricity provider. He has previously served as NRG’s Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, as well as Regional President, Texas, and Regional President, Northeast. Prior to joining NRG, Ragan was Vice President of Trading, Transmission and Operations at FPL Energy and also served as Vice President of Business Management for FPL Energy’s Northeast Region. Ragan has also served in leadership positions at Georgia Pacific Corp. and in increasing roles of responsibility at Mirant from 1996 through 2004, including Senior Vice President and Chief Executive Officer, International Group. Ragan began his career with Getty Oil Co.’s upstream exploration and production division in 1983. He earned a bachelor’s and masters degrees from West Virginia Universityand an MBA from Tulane University’s AB Freeman School.

Denise Wilson
Executive Vice President and President, Alternative Energy Services
As Executive Vice President and President, Alternative Energy Services, Denise Wilson leads NRG emerging and high-growth businesses including Green Mountain Energy Company; Green Mountain Wind; distributed solar; the eVgo electric vehicle charging network; and Energy Technology Ventures, NRG’s venture capital investment joint venture with GE and Conoco Phillips. These businesses represent NRG’s new innovation and clean energy initiatives, and Wilson leads NRG’s effort to incubate them, providing the independence needed to grow while ensuring they still benefit from NRG’s corporate resources. Wilson previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, overseeing key corporate functions including Communications, Human Resources, Investor Relations, and Information Technology. In that role, Wilson led NRG’s integrations of Texas Genco in 2006, which more than doubled NRG’s asset base; Reliant Energy in 2009; and Green Mountain Energy in 2010. Wilson originally joined NRG in 2000, serving as Vice President, Human Resources and as CAO from July 2006 until March 2007. Prior to NRG, Wilson served as Vice President, Human Resources Operations with Metris Companies Inc. and Director, Human Resources with General Electric ITS. Wilson holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Minnesota.

Paul Thomas
President, Green Mountain Energy Company
Paul Thomas has served as President of Green Mountain since January 2002, leading the company to become a leading provider of cleaner energy and carbon offset products. Thomas is guiding Green Mountain’s expansion into new markets in the Northeast and beyond its traditional residential retail customer base into the commercial retail electric segment. He joined Green Mountain in 2000 as Chief Operating Officer and has more than 30 years of senior management leadership in global energy markets. Prior to NRG and Green Mountain, he was president of a major North American energy marketing and trading business where he managed a portfolio of natural gas and electricity businesses and also managed a U.S. crude oil supply and trading business. Thomas graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a JD from the Chicago-Kent College of Law.
