Agua Caliente was named Solar Project of the Year by Renewable Energy World, a leading industry magazine, and PV Project of the Year by Solar Power Generation USA, the industry’s leading utility-scale solar power conference. Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating Station was named CSP Project of the Year by Solar Power Generation USA. Among distributed solar projects, Arizona State University’s PowerParasol™ was recognized by Engineering News-Record (ENR) Southwest Best Projects 2012 with the Green Project - Award of Merit.

NRG Listed on S&P 500
Standard and Poor’s lists NRG Energy in the S&P 500 Index, which includes 500 leading companies in leading industries of the U.S. economy.

NRG Wins White House Award
NRG was the only private sector company recognized with the White House Coastal America Partnership Award for our work on North Deer Island, Texas.

Texas Workforce Board Awards NRG
The Heart of Texas Workforce Development Board gave NRG its Outstanding Community Initiative Award for our Limestone plant’s Area Technical Center in Jewett, Texas.

NRG Receives Historical Preservation Award
The Texas Historical Commission commended NRG for supporting archaeological excavation on our property near the San Jacinto Battleground.

Nature Conservancy Honors NRG
NRG received the prestigious Corporate Conservation Leadership Award from the Nature Conservancy of Texas, which recognized our community leadership, commitment to the environment and our ecocenter in Baytown, TX.

Platts Global Energy Company of the Year & “Deal of the Year” Award
NRG is a past recipient of the energy industry’s highest awards, the Platts Global Energy awards, for Energy Company of the Year, Industry Leadership, and Deal of the Year.

New Jersey Award for Excellence
